It’s hump day again and you may need a little motivation. Its okay, we all do. You probably know Kemi Adetiba as the Director of Nollywood’s highest grossing film to date – The Wedding Party. But before her monumental success as a director, she once served coffee and tea on movie sets. Yeah, we can’t really picture it either but she promises this was the case.
This Young CEO episode was shot 2 years ago but good advice is timeless and Kemi’s frank take on the importance of starting at the bottom is super refreshing. According to Kemi, young people need to get their hands dirty in order to build on the foundation the older generation has laid for us.
The best part of the episode for us (not to tell you the entire thing) is the fact that Kemi says her music videos were her way of fulfilling that fantasy of making a movie. Fast forward, 2 years later and the Wedding Party movie literally shut down cinemas nationwide.
Watch Kemi below and get the pep in your step to motivate you for the rest of the week!
